A crown suitable for a king.
This is a school assignment to make a game ready prop for a Dota 2 hero. I chose to work with the Monkey King, and developed a design that takes its departure from some of the ondulating forms that pre-exist on his belt buckle and tiara.
The model of the Monkey King himself in the context render and the animation is from the Dota 2 home page.
-Texture budget 512x512px.
-Polybudget 3000 tris.
I actually didn't use the poly budget to full extent. In retrospect I should probably have given some more topology to the rounded shapes to create a more smooth finnish.
